It’s a song that stirs up a lot of emotion for Linkin Park and their fans.
“One More Light” was the last released song by the band, featuring Chester Bennington on vocals. It was the title track of their last album, which was released just two months before Bennington’s death in 2017.
Now, Chester’s isolated vocals have been released from that song, which holds even deeper meaning given the circumstances of his death.
In the audio, you’ll hear harmonies that largely were underplayed in the fully-produced version of the song. Also, at the 2:40 mark, a moment of silence that seems to last forever, before a distant scream is let out by Bennington to break the tension.
It’s a haunting, beautiful, and seemingly prophetic piece of audio that will make the hair raise up on your arms.
