The National Weather Service issued a dense fog advisory for the Wichita area for the morning hours.
The advisory is in effect for Sedgwick County and the surrounding counties until 11 a.m. It’s also in effect for Chase, Greenwood and Elk counties.
Visibility could be a quarter of a mile or less in some areas, and there were areas of thick fog in Wichita before sunrise.
Drivers are urged to slow down and leave plenty of stopping distance in areas where the visibility is low.
