Yingling Aviation has announced its second major expansion project of the year, which will be a 14th building for its facility at Eisenhower National Airport.
The company recently completed a major renovation of its facilities. It plans to have a 17,000 square-foot warehouse ready for operation by January of 2024, bringing its total space to more than 320,000 square feet.
Yingling is actively hiring more than 80 new employees, including mechanics, sheet metal technicians, avionics technicians and program managers. The new warehouse will be used for sheet metal repair for flight control surfaces, major structural components, modification and other services.
Wichita’s director of airports, Jesse Romo, said Yingling has made great investments at the airport and the expansion is a win-win situation that is good for the airport and for the community. Yingling president Andrew Nichols stated in a press release that listening to customers and taking care of employees have been the keys to the company’s success.
