The Kansas Humane Society is working with the Wichita park and recreation department to continue the annual Dog Days of Summer Pool Party for Labor Day.

The event will be held Monday, September 4th at College Hill Pool at 304 Circle Drive.   Dog owners are invited to let their pets wade, swim or jump into the public pool before it is closed and drained for the season.   The pool has a shallow, zero-depth entry to make it easy for dogs to get into the water.

The event is a fundraiser for the Humane Society and there’s a $10 dollar donation per dog, with a limit of two dogs per owner.  There is also a spectator fee of $1.

Small dogs, under 20 pounds, can swim from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. and large dogs can swim from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
