Wichita police say a suspect has been arrested in Texas in connection with a fatal shooting at a south side home last weekend.

Officers found 24-year-old Brittnee Wicker Sunday evening at a home in the 2300 block of South Belmont, and she was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound.

Police said 26-year-old Carlos Anderson-Honeycutt has been charged with first degree murder.  Police worked with the Department of Homeland Security and found that Anderson-Honeycutt was possibly in Texas.  He was arrested Tuesday near Brownsville, Texas, and Wichita police are working with Texas officials on extradition.

Police said the shooting was the result of domestic violence.
