Police arrested a 21-year-old Wichita man after a chase that ended with a crash Tuesday morning at a south side intersection.
Officers were attempting to stop a vehicle around 11:25 a.m., but the car sped away and officers chased it to the intersection of Clark and Washington, where it collided with another vehicle. The suspect ran from the crash scene but officers caught up with him.
The other driver in the crash had minor injuries. The Kansas Highway Patrol will be investigating the crash.
The suspect was arrested in connection with an October 29th shooting incident in Wichita’s Old Town entertainment district. Police said they are continuing the investigation and no other information has been released.
