A Wichita man has been formally charged in connection with a shooting that killed a 69-year-old woman earlier this month.
A hearing was held Monday for 19-year-old Daryon Boone on a charge of first degree murder and criminal discharge of a firearm into an occupied vehicle.
Boone is charged in the September 1st shooting death of 69-year-old Norma Williams. Police said Williams was riding in a pickup that was hit by a motorcycle at Kellogg and Greenwich Road. Several motorcycles followed the pickup north to Central, and Boone is accused of firing shots, with one of the shots striking Williams.
Bond was set at $500,000 and Boone bonded out of jail shortly after his arrest. His next court appearance has been scheduled for October 2nd.
