Wichita officials said Monday that the city’s air quality has again reached a status of “unhealthy.”
The air quality index was at 101, which is considered unhealthy for children and for older residents and people with respiratory issues. They were being urged to limit their outdoor activity as much as possible.
Smoke from wildfires in Canada and the northwestern United States were listed as the reason for the index level.
