A federal grand jury has indicted a Wichita man with crimes related to child pornography.
The indictment names 43-year-old Eric Caleb Carlson for one count of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said a technology firm made reports in June to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on uploads of files containing child sexual abuse and exploitation materials. The files were discovered in the firm’s cloud-based backup service. An investigation led law enforcement officials to identify Carlson and arrest him.
The case is being investigated by the Kansas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and Homeland Security Investigations.
