Evergy has submitted a notice to the Towne West Square shopping mall in Wichita that it may lose electric service by the end of the week.
The utility said the Kohan Retail Investment Group, which owns the mall, had not paid the electric bill. The larger stores at the mall have separate accounts that are in good standing and not in danger of disconnection.
This is the second time that the mall has been notified of possible disconnection. The previous notice was delivered in June, and payment was made on the electric bill.
