Officials with Haysville Public School said the district received a tip about a person with a weapon in the parking lot of Campus High School Tuesday.

The information was provided through the district’s tip line, and was shared with Campus High School administration. Both the high school and Ruth Clark Elementary were immediately placed in SECURE mode–meaning students and staff continue their normal schedule, but students, staff and visitors are not allowed in or out of the building.

The suspected person reportedly did not enter the school and Haysville police were called to investigate the incident.

SECURE mode has since been lifted while Haysville Police and HPS Administration continue to investigate.
