Authorities in Haysville peacefully resolved a standoff situation Tuesday morning in the 200 block of E. 82nd St. S.
Officials said EMS responded to a home after a man called to receive medical treatment. Authorities said that soon after their arrival, EMS felt threatened and requested law enforcement, and SWAT was activated.
Officials with the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene and spoke with the man, who said he no longer wanted medical treatment.
While the man he did have weapons in the home, authorities said there was threat to the public.
