Wichita’s Loony Bin Comedy Club announced that it will be closing on July 15th.
The city’s premier comedy club has been in business for 23 years. Club officials made the announcement via social media Monday night. It’s final show will be comedian Steven Rogers.
The club first operated at 21st and Woodlawn from 1999 until 2013 before relocating to 215 N. St. Francis downtown in 2014.
A reason behind the closure was not immediately given, but club owners thanked the city of Wichita for their years of loyalty and enthusiasm for live comedy.
You can view a schedule for the club’s remaining shows through July 15th here.
