An inmate at the El Dorado Correctional Facility has died, and Kansas corrections officials are investigating.
The state corrections department said 60-year-old Luis Diaz died Sunday morning. He was serving a sentence for attempted first degree murder and criminal threat from Sedgwick County. He had been in the corrections system since June 4th, 2007.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is working with corrections officials under a standard protocol for inmate deaths.
