The City of Hutchinson announced Wednesday that Police Chief Jeff Hooper has been terminated.

Officials did not provide any details on the circumstances of Hooper’s departure, but said Alan Stoecklein will serve as the interim police chief.

City officials added that the search for a permanent replacement will begin immediately.
