The Whataburger restaurant chain will be opening locations in Wichita in 2024, according to the franchisee that is working to establish new locations in Kansas and Missouri.
KMO Burger announced plans last year to open 30 Whataburger locations over the next seven years, but no details were released on where the locations would be and when they would open. Whataburger has opened two Kansas locations in Kansas City and in Overland Park.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, a fan of the Whataburger chain, is one of the investors in the franchise group.
